Jungle Carpet Python
Morelia spilota cheynei
Jungles are characterised by beautiful, bold markings and are one of the smallest of the carpet python species, both of which make them a popular captive python. Their name suggests they only inhabit rainforest environments, however they are also found in modified, fragmented habitats. The most stunning Jungles are black and gold however the ones from the Julatten area in Tropical North Queensland are black and white.
